About Paso Loofah Co. Growers of Natural Loofah Sponges Paso Robles
We are Paso Loofah Co., a small regenerative farm in Paso Robles, California. When we purchased the property in 2016, the entire south side was a mature Sangiovese vineyard. The grapes had just been removed by the previous owner, leaving behind rows of bare earth and the quiet memory of what once was wine country. At the time, the Central Coast was already seeing an explosion of new grape growers. Rather than add to the oversaturation, we chose a different path. We decided to turn this land into something far more abundant and alive — a true Garden of Eden food forest. Today, what was once a vineyard is becoming a living, breathing ecosystem. The old vineyard on the north side now serves as our loofah garden, where vertical trellises support vigorous Dishcloth loofah vines. Every plant we grow is chosen with intention: edible, medicinal, or beneficial to the soil and plants around it, the environment, the people, and the animals that call this land home. Our long-term vision is bold and holistic. We are working toward a complete food forest that includes a future pond stocked with fish. The nutrient-rich water from the pond will feed the gardens, cycling fertility back into the land and supporting everything that grows here. Nothing is wasted. Everything works in harmony. We grow without synthetic chemicals or fertilizer. Instead, we focus on regenerative practices — companion planting, cover crops, composting, and turning biomass into biochar inspired by ancient Terra Preta methods. This approach not only produces cleaner, higher-quality crops (like our natural loofah sponges), but actively rebuilds the soil for future generations. Paso Pure is more than a brand. It is our promise: to grow things the right way, with respect for the land, transparency for our customers, and a deep commitment to creating a thriving, edible, medicinal, and life-giving landscape right here in Paso Robles. Thank you for being part of this journey. — The Robertson Family, Paso Loofah Co., Paso Robles, California
